Furniture Solutions for The Salvation Army of South Central Kansas
Furniture Concepts is proud to have partnered with The Salvation Army of South Central Kansas to furnish their newly transformed recovery home. This vital space was previously used as an adolescent residential program. The space has been reimagined to provide care for individuals in need of substance use services and those experiencing homelessness.
This recovery home is more than just a place to stay; it’s a beacon of hope for those without insurance or the means to access care. The program is designed to teach life skills and empower individuals to rebuild their lives. Residents can stay for up to a year, receiving support through meetings, group sessions, and one-on-one counseling.
As Salvation Army Major Nancy Powers passionately stated, “If you put someone in a rundown facility that looks terrible, that’s how they will feel. But when we bring somebody into a really nice facility, suddenly they like to make their bed. As crazy as that sounds, they feel good.”
At Furniture Concepts, we were honored to contribute to this life-changing mission, knowing that where you lay your head at night can be the first step toward a brighter future!
